Release description TDcH / TDmH
SW 4.1.1
TDcH Compact Headend
TDmH Mini Headend
Release date: 2024-11-22
The SW v4.1.1 is only a hot fix release that solves an urgent issue, thus this release description contains description for both 4.1.1 and 4.1.0.
New Features in release 4.1.1 since last release 4.1.0:
SCR Preset 4 for Multichoice SCR:
Preset 4 added for SCR. This preset contains frequencies used in MultiChoice’s market.
New Features in release 4.1.0 since last release 4.0.0:
Stacking:
This feature allows for the stacking of up to 3 units together into a single system. The software will then handle the correct merging of DVB tables like NIT and SDT_other, so that a single network search reveals all services available from the deployed units.
Potential conflicting values of LCN, transport stream ID or frequencies will be detected across all units and the web UI will inform the user on the conflicting values and where to fix the issue.
The downloadable service overview list is also merged and contains the entire service lineup for all deployed units in the stacking system.
A stacking system requires that one unit is assigned the role as the stacking controller. Only TDcH units can be assigned this role, whereas TDmH units can only be assigned the role as stacking client. The applied DVB network configuration is the one coming from the controller unit, it is not possible to change the DVB network configuration of stacking clients – as long as they are assigned the role as a stacking client.
TDcH and TDmH units are shipped with the default setting of “Stand alone mode”. This mode is the legacy operational mode for a single unit.
